Parents are encouraged to initiate and participate in activities meant to foster the enhancement of The Acorn School as well as to help support the needs of the surrounding community. The Acorn Beautification Committee has established and maintained seasonal gardens on the Phipps Plaza for the enjoyment of Acorn families and that of our residential neighbors. In tandem with our annual holiday book exchange, new, quality books are collected for the Bellevue Hospital Educare Day Care Center. In the spring, Acorn parents are organizing a gently used clothing drive for needy families.
